Cuevera ("we", "us", "the extension") is a browser extension that helps people understand the hidden or indirect meaning of messages. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
When you select a sentence and ask Cuevera to interpret it, that selected text is sent to our secure server, which forwards it to an AI language model to produce a plain-language interpretation. The interpretation is returned to you and shown on the page.
Selected text is transmitted securely to our server and to our AI provider solely to generate an interpretation. We do not use your selected text to build a profile of you. Common phrases may be cached to improve speed and reduce cost, but this cache is not linked to your identity.
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive only your subscription status, not your full card details.
Subscription tokens are stored in hashed form. Communication between the extension, our server, and our AI provider is encrypted in transit. We retain only what is necessary to operate the service.
You can turn Cuevera off at any time from its toolbar menu, which stops it from sending any text. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data from your browser.
Cuevera is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
